Job Summary:

The Transition Manager is responsible for the transition of new accounts into Newmark Knight Frank's lease administration business line as well as supporting a variety of M&A and other projects that develop within existing accounts. The Transition s Manager is a part of a team who, together with the Director, support all lease administration transition projects.

The Transition Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, oversight and control of the activities of the service line under supervision, so as to optimize the utilization of all resources under his/her control. They will participate in formulation of overall service line objectives, policies and plans appropriate to the scope of services for each specific Transition client.

Essential Job Duties:


  • Serve as a central point of contact for the integration of new lease administration accounts into Newmark Knight Frank.

  • Assist senior management with the coordination and transitioning of new integrated accounts and the development of key client relationships.

  • Work with clients to ensure a smooth transition of services, including the development and implementation of technology and new real estate processes.

  • As required, assist in contract negotiations, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) with client's legal, NKF legal and others as necessary.

  • Assist senior management with the ongoing support of existing accounts for special projects, data quality validations, M&A activity and other activities.

  • Assist the Account team with the standard Transition process as it pertains to Lease Administration services.

  • Develop and maintain transition presentation materials and transition playbook.

  • Develop customized lease administration playbooks and other supporting documents for new accounts.

  • Develop and follow transition project plans for each client, meeting all critical milestones.

  • Prepare meeting notes and agendas for weekly, quarterly and annual meetings.

  • Coordinate team members' internal and external meetings, including initial kick off meetings.

  • Train end users (lease administration and clients) on technology and processes.

  • Possess hands-on experience with various Lease Administration software packages. Examples are HarborFlex, Visual Lease, ProLease, LeaseCalcs, Tririga.

  • Work with accounting team to set up bank accounts and secure signed banking documents from client.

  • Work with technology team to ensure database configuration, reporting and required functions needed for lease administration services are assessable.

  • Support account teams with merger and acquisition onboarding for existing accounts.

  • Support account teams with ongoing data quality checks, reporting and training.

  • Support ongoing account teams with process enhancements and compliance requirements.

  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.

Skills, Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Real Estate, Business or Marketing.

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a corporate real estate environment.

  • Diligent worker with a high standard for work product.

  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects, clients and presentations.

  • Capacity to work in a demanding, deadline and results driven environment.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), team building and organizational skills.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.
