InSinkErator is looking for a highly motivated and results driver person to join our team at our corporate office in Mt Pleasant, WI. The Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to support business priorities. Drive activities tooptimize InSinkErator’s supply chain network. Develop, communicate, and lead lean initiatives with supply chainpartners in support of business needs.  

  A typical day in the life of a Commodity Manager:

  • Develop, lead, andexecute supply chain optimization strategies that align with business goals.

  • Lead cross-functionalcost containment teams

  • Establish and drive strategicpriorities through key performance indicators (KPI’s) and root cause countermeasures(RCCM)

  • Lead supplierimprovement initiatives (quality, capacity,lead time, delivery, and cost)

  • Implementlean principles throughout the supply base

  • Performcontract reviews to ensure compliance to Emerson requirements

  • Participate in new product development teams

  • Participate in Emerson multi-divisional commodity teams

  • Ensure accuracy of financial reporting


Working Conditions:   Fast-paced Supply Chain environment, including tightdeadlines, daily meetings, supplier visits, and managing to the bottom line in terms of profit.  Position requires overnight travel (domesticand international).

You Must:

  • have a Bachelor’s degree Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering,Mechanical Engineering. Bachelor’s degree in conjunction with at least one skill fromthe Preferred Skills list.

  • have a Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain or engineeringfunction

  • have experience leading and implementing lean initiatives

  • have project management ownership (schedules, resources, financials)

  • excellent communicationskills, both oral and written

You Should:

  • have a Six Sigma green/black belt

  • have a Master’s degree
