What you will do
The Engineer I is responsible to contribute to the product team through product design, testing, data analysis, and project management. The Engineer I will also support the manufacturing of the product representing the design team through initiating and executing design changes. All of these tasks also require strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present information to engineering teammates, engineering managers, and product management. The Engineer I is responsible to develop and maintain skill sets and work practices to align with the expectations and needs of the organization
How you will do it
Designs assigned products and/or parts in a timely and effective manner to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
Collects, analyzes and interprets data, develops engineering computer programs, and design components.
Performs accurate analysis of product performance, making appropriate recommendations as needed improve product reliability.
Develops engineering computer programs designed to increase the efficiency of engineering work.
Participates as a member of a project team to ensure projects are completed according to schedule.
Maintains a current knowledge of all factors and conditions, which may affect engineering work.
Provides technical direction and guidance to technicians, drafters, model makers and/or programmers as needed.
Applies mechanical codes such as UL, ETL, and ASME
10% travel to Norman, OK and other client sites.
Other duties may be assigned.
What we look for
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software
Experience with 3D CAD package preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Effective and professional communication and organization skills
Self-starter with demonstrated skills to meet and exceed the objectives of time-bounded projects
