POSITION OVERVIEW - Corporate Paralegal

National Instruments is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to become a member of the Global Legal Team. The candidate will report to the Americas Legal Director providing general support for Global and Americas Legal Team matters. This is a critical role that requires a trustworthy candidate that is a self-starter with a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and ability to use independent judgment. A background in Corporate Formalities is preferred, but not required.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following: 



  • Support and assist Americas Legal Team attorneys on a variety of substantive and administrative matters




  • Provide project management assistance on various Legal Department initiatives




  • Manage approval and signature processes for execution of international documents




  • Organize, track and file documents using electronic tools/databases




  • Process all Americas Non-Disclosure Agreement requests submitted through the JIRA database, generate standard Non-Disclosure Agreements and assist in the execution of all Americas Non-Disclosure Agreements




  • Provide guidance on and assist with the generation and execution of documents necessary to maintain the various NI global subsidiaries in good standing (Corporate Formalities)




  • Schedule and coordinate department meetings




  • Support and maintain common office area equipment and related supplies




  • Other duties as assigned



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • 3 years of experience as paralegal with law firm or corporate legal department

  • Willing and able to maintain a flexible schedule to meet corporate needs

 
Preferred Qualifications


  • Paralegal certification is preferred

  • Background in Corporate Formalities

  • Experience with JIRA or another ticket-tracking software for agreement requests

  • Experience with electronic tools/databases for document tracking

  • Excellent facilitation skills, run meetings with a variety of stakeholders

  • Project Management experience
