The Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for site development and coordination of all student clinical placements with clinical facility partners for the 4-year BS (pre-licensure), Accelerated Second Degree, and RN-BS programs in the Clemson University School of Nursing; located in the Clemson University Nursing building in Greenville, SC; other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Management and oversight: collaborates and consults with faculty to determine clinical placement needs and experiences for students; identifies agency requirements at each clinical placement location and communicates these to clinical faculty (i.e., orientation and other required training; required documents); oversees the development and management of accurate records regarding clinical placements in My Clinical Exchange and other mandated systems; maintains clinical database of approved clinical sites; generates reports as necessary
30% - Essential - Communication: initiates and maintains effective communication with clinical agencies, preceptors and clinical course faculty regarding clinical sites and placements; participates in formal and informal agency updates on a regular basis; communicates with SON administration potential preceptor and clinical faculty needs; collaborates with the SON personnel liaison to ensure clinical faculty submit clinical clearance documents for clinical experiences
20% - Essential - Outreach coordination: identifies new clinical sites and affiliations and works with the SON Contracts and Accreditation Compliance position to support the establishment of new contracts; maintains positive working relationships with clinical sites, faculty and students clinical faculty needs
10% - Essential - Program support: plans and prepares clinical orientation for students and clinical faculty each semester; advocates for program and students' needs when appropriate; works in close coordination with School of Nursing Director, Undergraduate Programs MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Licenses - Nurse - RN Registered
Experience - 5 or more year(s) work experience in related field RESPONSIBILITIES:
