Job Description:

Position Summary:
University Housing & Dining is seeking a Food Service Coordinator II for Blacks Gold Grill inside Peterson Residence Hall. This position will supervise, hire, assign, and coordinate the activities of student employees and other staff as assigned who are involved in set-up, food service, and maintaining cleanliness of Black's Gold Grill food service area and equipment. This individual will also supervise admittance to Black's Gold Grill and monitor cash register procedures and cash handling.

Qualifications:

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
  • One year experience as a Food Service Coordinator I or comparable experience in food distribution.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Experience working with an inventory management system such as C-Bord.
  • Experience hiring, training and evaluating employees.
  • Experience in cost control and preparing basic financial reports.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail and/or food service environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience with cash handling procedure and/or point of sale systems.
  • Experience with timekeeping and payroll processes and procedures.
  • Experience with product promotion and marketing.
  • Interest in and ability to learn basic computer and keyboarding skills; including the ability to access and draft email correspondence, and the ability to manage electronic time accruals and personal absence requests. Previous experience is highly desired.
