Job Description:


The Manager of TalentAcquisitionoversees all details involved in the employment process including staffing strategy & analysis, job description creation & maintenance, timely sourcing of quality candidates, providing superlative service to applicants, employees & hiring managers, on-boarding and leading key recruitment initiatives. Also serves as the human resources ambassador for the company's recruitment efforts and employment brand by ensuring a positive public image and helping to promote a diverse workforce.
  • Develops and maintains employment branding across all recruitment channels/media to ensure the attraction of a qualified and diverse workforce.
  • Partners with internal business leaders to understand organizational structure and various positions within that structure and provides short and long term recommendations for talent gaps and a strategy to acquire top talent into the organization.
  • Works with management to provide consultation on department staffing design and development of internal candidate pool for growth and replacement positions.
  • Develops recruitment strategies to proactively meet the staffing needs of the organization, including working with the Human Resources Department to provide competitive salary data necessary to attract and retain employees and management.
  • Utilizes creative campaigns, technologies and media to ensure cost-effective and timely staffing campaigns.
  • Provides research data and input on compensation strategies to attract & retain high quality candidates.
  • In conjunction with HR, works with management & executives to define, create & maintain effective & compliant job descriptions.
  • Ensures all recruitment & staffing processes, forms, policies, procedures, advertising and systems are in compliance with prevailing State & Federal employment law as well as Credit Union regulations.
  • Manages employee referral incentive program and ensures timely processing and announcement of awards.
  • Actively participates in professional associations and community organizations to ensure continual company presence and employment brand awareness in our marketplace.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices, academic departments and alumni organizations as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  • Plans and organizes participation in job fairs both on- site and third party sponsored.
  • Conducts training and provides guidance to hiring managers to ensure effective candidate review & interviewing.
  • Conducts exit interviews to determine and recommend process improvements.
  • Creates, writes and places ads in variety of print, electronic and social media.
  • Personally sources quality candidates from competitors.
  • Ensures all applicants have been appropriately screened, tested and bondability verified prior to hire. • Ensures all post offer, pre-employment activities are consistently conducted; drug test, fingerprints, I9 verification.
  • Compiles and monitors staffing & recruitment metrics to include but not limited to time-to-hire, cost per hire, source of hire, and turnover to detect trends and develop alternative strategies as needed.
  • Provides employment activity and recruitment effectiveness reporting.
  • Ensures Applicant Tracking System provides robust/dynamic assistance to recruiters and achieves consistency in communication to applicants and hiring managers as well as compliance with Affirmative Action Plan and EEO activities.
  • Ensures recruiting team is focused on building a talent community and is constantly building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Acts as liaison with key staffing firm partners and manages all recruitment advertising & third party contracts.
  • Arranges travel and lodging for applicants if necessary.
  • Participates in the annual budget process and ensures recruitment activities are conducted within budget constraints.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience Must have at least 3+ years of current talent acquisition management experience preferably in the financial services industry including the training and development of staff. Must also possess the following:
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency using various e-search tools and social media
  • Proficiency with HRIS, CRM, Business Intelligence, and ATS software
  • Exceptional oral & written communication skills including ability to deliver effective presentations to all levels of employees and groups
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting
  • Strong knowledge of employment law
  • Must be consistently available to be on site to serve internal business partners during regular business hours.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • PHR/SPHR a plus
