Life insurance premium finance is a valuable strategy for individuals who have a need for life insurance but wish to defer the majority of the cost of their premiums. Premium finance opens up many opportunities for the client; the most significant is leveraging a productive asset. By financing life insurance premiums, the client can continue to employ capital for existing and future investments.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will prepare reports and financial models for both internal staff and FIRST clients. Data will be collected from multiple sources using a variety of queries and internal reports. The financial analyst will use models and spreadsheets to summarize this data and provide recommendations and analysis to senior staff and clients.

  • Prepare various quarterly and monthly production reports in Microsoft Excel for FIRST clients and internal staff

  • Design and/or maintain complex SQL queries, reports, spreadsheets, and/or models for the department

  • Prepare monthly commission and production reports for Relationship Managers

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from various internal and external parties to analyze information which may include client profitability and portfolio trends


  • 5-7 or more years Finance or Accounting experience; preferably in the insurance or finance industry

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or the equivalent in related work experience

  • Must possess a high level of integrity

  • Ability to organize, analyze and accurately report financial data

  • Ability to see the "big picture" and identify potential inconsistencies in reporting

  • Willingness to gain and apply knowledge of systems and procedures in assigned area of responsibility

  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated ability to use advanced techniques in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software. Experience with SQL, Power BI, and Tableau preferred

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Effective oral and written communication skill
