Job Description

The Global Client Readiness organization accelerates the Client Services deployment and scale strategy for Visa. We have a tight alignment with the product and technology organizations to support design, development and deployment of Visa products and services to help speed client implementations. The organization is also responsible for all aspects of client readiness and enablement for business enhancement releases, client delivery, implementations, deployments, and support for all new and existing products and services, for all Visa clients worldwide.

We are seeking a VP of Program Management to lead complex programs. If you are a self-starter who enjoys leading cross-functional teams and being the connective tissue keeping all stakeholders coordinated across the entire program lifecycle; and you want to be responsible for successful outcomes impacting the future growth of Visa then this is the team for you!

This role will test your skills of abstraction, attention to detail and thinking big.

The Role

This leader is accountable to align, monitor, and deploy strategies to support the Product Roadmap/Strategy. This key role partners with Product Management, Sales, Technology, and Operations. The VP will manage overall product deployment and implementation programs based on strategy, establish KPIs, and monitor ongoing performance. The VP of Program Management will ensure all program strategies are aligned to the Product Roadmap and/or strategic direction. The position reports into the SVP of Global Client Readiness.

Responsibilities

*

Work with Product Management, Technology, Sales and other stakeholders to standardize deployment, implementation, and support processes. Eliminate duplication of investment, while maximize leverage of available and differentiating technology
*

Select and deploy Enterprise Software to manage resources, cost, schedules, prioritize and rank productivity tools
*

Oversee and manage the Services lifecycle through planning, execution and commercialization
*

Facilitate program management processes (intake, discovery and approval) with departmental stakeholders.
*

Coach, mentor, manage, educate and develop skill sets of program managers
*

Establish KPI s to assess utilization, capacity, and resources
*

Create a common scorecard to measure performance and establish KPIs.
*

Assess program risks by evaluating delivery performance, available resources, benefits and budget. Effectively communicate problems, issues, risks, solutions to appropriate stakeholders and leadership.
*

On an ongoing basis, monitor the metrics of all projects for significant deviations in quality, schedule, or cost
*

Drive alignment between program execution capability and Client Services strategic goals, coordinating with stakeholders to prioritize efforts with highest return on investment.
*

Act as a strategic liaison between executives, business management/employees, the program management office, and gain executive level alignment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

* 15 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)

*

Prior experience leading and scaling Program and Portfolio Management is a must
*

10+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully, in product, services, support, professional services, or large complex projects in a matrix organization
*

Proven leader with high-tech expertise and experience developing complex program management strategies with resources span across multiple locations
*

Proven leader managing cross functional teams for a large (fortune 500) multinational company
*

Proven experience in project/program/portfolio management leading large scale, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholder groups
*

Significant experience with Phase Gate Development Processes, PLM methodologies including and Agile development process
*

Proven experience in managing Global Organizational Transformation activities as related to Program Management, Product Development and Operations for a fortune 500 company.
*

Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive change across functions and within a complex organization
*

Strong problem solving and negotiating skills, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive closure of complex development challenges
*

Strong business acumen, including the ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts and challenges across multiple levels and disciplines
*

Efficient time manager; ability to successfully multi-task in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
*

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with executive management
*

Bachelor's in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field; Masters/MBA degree preferred
*

20-25% Travel both domestic and international
