Alliance is seeking a Project Manager in the Organizational Effectiveness Department to plan, monitor, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget.
The Strategic Project Management Office is under the Organizational Effectiveness Department, housed in Organizational Performance Division. The team provides internal consulting, project management, data collection and analysis, and process improvement to the company at the enterprise level.
Responsibilities and Duties
Internal consulting is working with executive management to research and recommend solutions to strategic projects, process changes or addressing urgent highly sensitive business needs.
Project management is applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements as directed by enterprise strategy and in response to high profile projects such as state mandates.
Data collection and analysis is structuring data collection plans, developing performance benchmarks, identifying key performance indicators, and recommending solutions.
Process improvement is identifying, analyzing and improving upon existing business processes.
The primary purpose of this position is to support management using the following techniques to achieve enterprise goals:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, staffing, implementing, controlling and evaluating the assigned projects as well as communicating with staff, including senior leadership about the projects, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. The project manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining positive, professional working relationships with team members across departments, as well as senior leadership, and serving as a positive link between all participants, having the interpersonal skills and capability to motivate and influence the team to accomplish the given tasks successfully. In addition, the project manager contributes to organizational objectives by identifying trends, system enhancements, and making recommendations for improvements across the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field. Two years (2) previous experience working as a Project Manager; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the essential knowledge and abilities to perform the job. Experience managing projects across multifunctional teams required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required within eighteen months of employment.
Preferred: Minimum of three (3) year's experience working in healthcare. One (1) year’s previous experience working in the field of Project Portfolio Management.
Position requires planning and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively with, manage, motivate, and get results from diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Superior project management, time management, and client relationship management. Creativity and innovation to develop new and unique ways to improve operations. Skills in problem solving to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations to resolve the problem. Ability to assess situations to determine urgency and risk and make clear and timely decisions in the best interest of the project and the organization. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and other commonly used project management software and data base management programs.
