 The Advanced Planning Marketing Manager plays a critical role as a liaison and marketing subject matter expert to the Advanced Planning team within Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance business. An exceptional relationship manager, this person is charged with understanding the needs of partners to create compelling business cases and creative briefs that support Sales Concepts, Continuing Education and Thought Leadership initiatives to help drive business results. A student of the industry and practice, this Marketing Manager will partner with other subject matter experts to:

  • Evaluate the competitive and legislative landscape leverage research and analytics to identify targeted opportunities,

  • Design robust go to market plans, and

  • Interpret and communicate campaign results.

This position is critical to driving engagement with intermediaries, wholesalers and Advanced Planning experts alike. He/she will lead the development of sales enablement content, lead generation activities and packaging of concepts to deliver holistic programs focused on distinct customer needs.
In this role, you will:

  • Leverage good working knowledge of life insurance products and selling strategies to help design and deliver holistic marketing campaigns targeted to specific consumer needs

  • Leverage marketing best practices such as customer segmentation, marketing automation, market analytics, and product understanding to drive impact of campaigns and communications

  • Collaborate with sales teams to deeply understand selling processes and account nuances, identify sales concepts and strategies and build marketing content to supplement holistic content packages

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create marketing approaches that result in brand adoption

  • Engage with Intermediary Marketing team members to understand firm objectives and identify advanced planning opportunities that can support these objectives

  • Partner with Solutions Marketing team to understand life insurance product portfolio positioning and design campaigns to identify concepts that drive usage of specific products in line with product mix and sales goals



  • A four-year degree is preferred with 5+ years B-to-B and/or B-B-C marketing experience highly desired

  • Strong knowledge of life insurance and related sales concepts including trust planning, business planning, wealth transfer, retirement repositioning and others.

  • Solid knowledge of tax environment and legislative measures impacting use of life insurance as part of a financial plan.

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating across functional teams, negotiating in a matrixed organization, building strong relationships with business partners and designing creative solutions

  • Very strong oral and written communication skills and a passion for understanding how best to influence the customer journey in the purchase of life insurance

  • Prior success with taking intelligent risks and is comfortable working autonomously

  • Functional knowledge of life insurance products, services, distribution and market environment desired

  • Series 6, 63 FINRA licenses preferred
