Agropur Ingredients is looking for a Quality Control Service Technician to join our growing team!

As a Quality Control Service Technician, you'll assist in the collecting, approving, maintaining, and documenting of quality and technical information. The Quality Service Technician is also responsible for ensuring all products (incoming and outgoing) meet quality standards.

Shift:
8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve vendor Certificates of Analysis.
  • Update the "Quality Hold Product" database; including products related to raw ingredient, finished goods, damaged bags and expired products.
  • Create finished product Certificates of Analysis.
  • Manage and communicate third party laboratory test results to appropriate individuals and departments.
  • Assist with investigations for out of specification laboratory tests.
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and validate new procedures.
  • Preparation and testing of chemistry, physical, and/or microbiology samples.
  • Perform microbiological preparation techniques including dilutions, plating, and enumeration.
  • Assist with sampling of incoming raw ingredients and finished products as needed.
  • Assist with sample shipping to customers and third party laboratories.
  • Prepare compounds and reagents for use in conducting tests.
  • Perform and demonstrate proficiency in the following tests including analysis of ash, moisture, scorch, density, dispersability, titratable acidity, pH, flavor, color, and allergens
  • Interpret test results and prepare test solutions.
  • Perform various microbiological test procedures which includes preparation of test media, analysis of standard plate count, coliform, E. coli, and yeast and mold.
  • Ensure laboratory area and equipment is clean and sanitized standards.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Perform quarterly internal proficiency testing and ensure that the level results are acceptable.
  • Receive, sort, composite and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
  • Review specifications on testing data; enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Support product safety, quality and legality.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contact with all employees in Quality, Regulatory and Production.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.
    • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.

Qualifications:

Education Required:
  • Associate's Degree in a Scientific field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.


Experience Required:
  • Minimum two (2) years of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the operation of laboratory equipment required.

  • None
