Summary: The main function of a policy processing clerk is to draft policies and take them through to closing. Job Responsibilities: Gather information and take it from quote to issuance. Verify insurance documents archived documents and update as needed. Collect required documentation, review file documentation, and make sure all items needed are requested. Ensure that all policy documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with company policy. Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and other documents for recurring internal reports. Contact and communicate with clients by telephone, minimal e-mail, or in-person. Skills: Basic knowledge in insurance industry. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 0-2 years experience required.
