Why Mayo Clinic
Home Health Aides work independently in the patient residence (home, assisted living, nursing home, etc.) providing personal care to patients requiring home health skilled nursing services, therapies, and the hospice patients that we serve. This requires driving to different locations that patients reside.
A member of the health care team who, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or other licensed healthcare professionals, assists patients with daily cares in order to maintain the highest degree of dignity, safety and independence.
Current active status on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry and must maintain active status.
Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers- BCLS - certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date. A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.
We will only accept certificates of course completion from the following providers:
Patient care skills, knowledge of infection control and safety procedures, medical terminology, strong verbal and written communication skills. Requires independent judgment, a high level of motivation, accountability, flexibility, interest in patient care, and compassion for people.
License or certification
Maintain Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry and BLS/CPR certification
Hours / Pay period
8 hour shifts between 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday
every other weekend
