Summary of Job Duties
(Note: This summary will be used for keyword search) Reporting to the Fiscal Manager, assists the Fiscal Operations unit in meeting its goal of providing sound oversight of both the department and Federal, State and Institutional student aid funds. Reconciles major State & Institutional aid program accounts of over $125 million in funds disbursed annually. Creates and runs reports that assist in both the internal and Federal and State audit of Financial Aid disbursed funds to guarantee adherence to Institutional, State & Federal policy. Seeks resolution on issues through the coordinating efforts of SIS&T Operations, FOU Team members and Financial Aid Advisors. Oversees receipt and processing of Agency Scholarships totaling over $3.2 million.

Advises the Fiscal Manager on policy related to State & Institutional student aid programs. Works to develop reporting mechanism to continuously improve the management of student aid funds and fund reconciliation.
Serves as department Safety Representative. *LI-KA1

Minimum Requirements
Strong analytical skills, strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse student population.

Background reflecting a college education or a combination of education and work experience.

Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Maintain sound judgment and high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

Desirable Requirements
Knowledge of federal and state student aid policy. Experience with fund accounting, particularly at an institution of higher education. Experience with the federal R2T4 process. Experience with audits.
