DINING SYSTEMS ANALYST

UC Riverside s Housing, Dining, and Hospitality Services is currently recruiting for a Dining Systems Analyst. As the Dining Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of menus and inventory, researching menus with our Nutritionist and Executive Chef, as well as organizing Dining systems hardware and web based programs. The data management responsibilities will include inputting menus, maintaining data files, and assisting with the planning and organization for the weekly Production Run. The Dining Systems Analyst will assist with training of staff on FoodPro (our menu management database system), Smart-Temps (our kitchen monitoring system), TracerPlus (our inventory application for hand-helds and PDAs), Appetize (our point of sale system), and TouchWork Solutions (our real-time feedback application). Additionally, this position will be responsible for the daily supervision of student staff and maintaining the student staff work schedule.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Valid driver license.
0 - 1 years of related experience.
Experience in managing, configuring, administrating, and training cashiers on point of sale (POS) systems.
Experience in database administration and management.
Experience providing entry level administrative support to a fast paced, dynamic office/commercial kitchen environment.
Experience providing training, guidance and directing workflow.
Experience with high volume of data entry.
Experience working in a food service environment.
Must pass a background check.
Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
Ability to operate University vehicles and carts for business and operational needs.
Must wear University issued ID badge.
Travel may include: occasional travel for University related business, professional development, conferences and meetings.
Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
