In this key Corporate Quality role, you will be focusing on our Flight Hardware. This candidate will lead the Mission Assurance effort for a Satellite program. The candidate will work with other Mission Assurance engineers on the program and coordinate their efforts. Candidate will support the program during all aspects of hardware design, development and deployment. Candidate will work with Engineering, and Manufacturing and Contract Manufactures to resolve problems down to their root cause. Candidate will chair the FRACAS for the program and report to the team the state of all failures incurred during fabrication, integration and testing. Candidate will support all program development meetings, PMR, TIM, PDR, CDR, MRR and TRRs as needed. Candidate will be required to work with and travel to suppliers fabricating program hardware as warranted. Your analytical and communication skills will be key as you resolve internal and external quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
As a PQE supporting our Satellite products, you will plan and conduct product, program, regulatory, or supplier activities. Perform risk analysis based on the product type or program, purchased and assembled components, You will review and/or improve Statistical Process Control (SPC). You will document and analyze data obtained during all quality assurance activities, Consistent with company policies and procedures. You will develop new approaches to solve problems identified during development, production, or repair activities. You will develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures, and prepare reports to be shared with both internal and external customers. You will learn and maintain working knowledge of Space System driven standards and regulations. You will collaborate with all Engineering functional areas to refine specifications to ensure good internal and external interpretation. You will participate in internal and external quality system and regulatory audits. You will interface with suppliers to assure that effective corrective action is implemented as needed.
10+ years of experience working with space programs in a Quality Engineer Role
Familiar with all aspects of implementing and executing a Mission Assurance plan for a space program. Familiarity with GSFC 320-MAR-1001B, or Aerospace TOR 2011(8591)-21 for developing and deploying a mission assurance plan is required.

Candidate shall have a working knowledge of Contamination Control. Candidate shall have a working knowledge of ISO-14644 or FED-STD-209. Candidate shall have a knowledge of IEST-STD-1246CC for contamination determination and how to keep space flight hardware clean.
Working knowledge of PLM Tool (such as Agile) as well as ERP system (such as Oracle).
Must display autonomy (ability to work independently with minimal supervision).Must be detail oriented (ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task).
Demonstrate technical aptitude (ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information)
Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills to compute and compile necessary data and to present data in various forms for recording, reporting and presentations.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
US Government position. US Citizenship required; capable of obtaining a security clearance to work classified programs.
Up to 25% travel.
A working knowledge of all aspects of parts engineering. Candidate shall have a working knowledge of GSFC EEE-INST-002, JPL D23084, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-38535 and other part pertinent specifications.
Well versed in GD&T
Lean Six Sigma (with belt certification).
Application of statistical process control (SPC).
Working knowledge of Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA).
