Job Description:

Job Functions:Job SummaryThe position is to support direct power generation sales and lead projects as assigned. This position will bid, plan, execute, control and finalize projects in adherence to strict budget, schedule, and scope as outlined in the customer contract. The Project Manager will work with the customer to assess current and future needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with department to bid projects following internal and customer processes
Prepare, project submittals, follow submittal process from start to finish including project close out submittals and as built drawings.
Prepare, support and lead regularly scheduled project meetings.
Manage projects from bid to close out: project scope definition, risks, goals and deliverables which support organizational goals.
Set and continually manage project expectations with both internal and external customers, effectively communicate project expectations in a timely and clear fashion.
Work with CRM tool to keep up to date customer contact information
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Develop and deliver project progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determine the frequency and content of status meetings and reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Proactively manage project scope changes, identify potential crises/risks, and create contingency plans.
Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle, with the ability work across multiple departments.
Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.
Maintain a high ethical standard when working with customers and stakeholders.
Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures. Procedures can be found on our company intranet
Other tasks as assigned by managerQualifications:Minimum QualificationsEducation/ExperienceRequired: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of project management experience or 7 years experience.
Preferred: Engineering degree and/or MBA. Power generation experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic electricity as it applies to power generation.
Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge and ability to communicate in building construction situation involving M/E Contractors, Design Engineers and Commissioning Engineers.
Ability to read project plans, electrical and mechanical drawings and all related schematics.
Ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously.
Flexibility - ability to work under tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management skills.
