If so, ViaSat may be the perfect company for you. ViaSat is looking for an exceptional Accounting Manager to step in and bring your "A" game to this position and make it your own.
The Accounting Manager will bring expertise in leading departments with varying levels of direct reports and take responsibility for various accounting functions, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry reviews, internal control and other related processes. You will leverage your GAAP expertise to assist with the review and assessment of financial accounts and research accounting matters and documentation of accounting position papers. You will assist with preparation of audit schedules and coordinate deliverables to auditors. Because you are a key member of the financial management team, you will communicate across all levels of the organization and help with special projects and internal initiatives that drive improvements while maintaining or drive quality deliverables.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness and reasonableness of: accounts receivable, deferred revenue, fixed asset valuation and useful life analysis, customer life analysis, inventory reconciliation and valuation, complex accruals, purchase & revenue contract review
Establish and maintain databases of pertinent & revenue contract review
Utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and drive process improvements
Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with GAAP
Play a leading role in new accounting system implementation & projects
CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience
10+ yeas of accounting management experience in a public company environment
Strong GAAP skills in revenue recognition, fixed assets and inventory
Technical accounting research and documentation skills
Knowledge of accounting and enterprise business system
Self-directed and hands on, able to work with minimal supervision
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Ability to travel up to 30%
US government position. US citizenship required
Experience in Oracle ERP System
