Program Overview
The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Role Overview
The Wi-Fi QA Team is responsible to test and characterize new Wi-Fi products and features on all Comcast managed products. The team has test labs in Philadelphia, India and a test house in Burlington NJ.
The team is responsible to asses all Comcast router and extender customer releases for Wi-Fi functional parity, performance and all new features. The test house is a unique test bed across Comcast and is the central hub to assess new Wi-Fi chipsets and technologies.
Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Engineer will be to help set up test beds in the WiFi test house.
-Engineer will help run automation execution and analysis of Whole Home WiFi tests.
-Engineer will help with chipset characterizations in test house.
Preferred Qualifications
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United Statesbased college or university that has a cooperative learning track
-Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23rd, 2019.
-Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
-3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred
-Familiar with Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless AP's, Routers, Wireless extenders & Wireless standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax).
-Familiar with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching.
-Working knowledge of UNIXbased systems and command-line tools for analysis
-Authorized to work in the United States of America
