Job Description:

Survey Office Technician

Are you currently working in the field, or a survey office technician managing conventional survey data only, and would also like to experience GIS, 3D scanning and drone opportunities, both in the field and in the office?

KPFF Survey is actively recruiting for a full-time Survey Office Technician position in Portland, Oregon. This is an entry-level office position and no prior experience is necessary (we will train). Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years industry field experience, but individuals already working in the office are also encouraged to apply. Pay is dependent upon experience.

Our typical projects include control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying. We collect field data using the latest survey grade equipment, including conventional total stations, digital levels, GPS, 3D scanners, and drone technology. We work with engineers, architects, landscape architects, developers, and public agencies. You may find yourself on a project in downtown Portland one day, followed by something in remote eastern Oregon, and beyond.

The successful candidate will work with and support the survey team to ensure that projects are completed safely, accurately, and professionally. Experienced and licensed individuals will actively work with you to further your career path in land surveying where you’ll analyze and process different sets of data, draft, manage projects, and potentially become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and add value to a fast-paced team. Travel may be required and can vary between 3-5% depending on the project, but you can expect to be home by the weekend.

Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. The ability to pass a background check and drug screening may be a requirement to participate on specific projects.

NO PHONE INQUIRIES, PLEASE (All applications must be completed through this on-line process)

KPFF is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
