The Consumer Products Corporate Engineering team in is seeking a Project Manager - Paper Machine Engineering. The selected individual will create value by growing their project leadership skills on increasing levels of responsibility while delivering superior project results for our manufacturing and business partners. This position will be a member of the Paper Machine Engineering group that leads technology focused upgrades and new builds across the country. This role will be a combination of travel and could be based out of Green Bay, WI or possibility a remote opportunity requiring close proximity to a major airport.
The Consumer Products Group (CPG) Engineering team consists of nearly 200 individuals across the United States working with our 15 Tissue Towel and Napkin mills and our 5 Dixie facilities on capital project execution as well as run-ability of current assets. We are engineers, project managers and designers focused on a quality delivery. We partner with our mills as one team, one vision, one result.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Managing capital projects by applying MBM® to drive long term value creation by:
Actively interacting with Business and Technology Platform Leadership to identify and prioritize the highest value projects
Efficiently leading the decision-making process for project scope and execution strategy to capture the highest value opportunities
Organizing and leading diverse project teams from conceptualization through operational performance testing by using the Georgia-Pacific project work process
Evaluating and driving the decision-making process for selecting project alternatives, equipment, vendors and contracting strategies
Providing field support during construction and startup phases
Safely and responsibly delivering project goals including product quality, production rates, schedule, cost and performance
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
Seven (7) or more years of project engineering/project management experience working in or directly supporting a paper manufacturing operation
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
Experience in MS office to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project
What Will Put You Ahead?
Experience in construction support and startup support
Experience and knowledge of tissue making processes
Experience building highly effective project teams using internal and external resources
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Papermill operations/leadership experience
