Join our Wildcat Point Combined Cycle Facility Team in Cecil County, Maryland as a Plant EH&S Coordinator!
This position will provide technical support, coordinate the overall plant safety and environmental compliance programs, and implement policies and procedures consistent with the corporate EHS manual. The Plant EH&S Coordinator will ensure that environmental sampling, emissions monitoring and report requirements are met for Wildcat Point. General duties include ensuring all safety, environmental reporting and sample requirements are met for the plant in compliance with laws, regulations, permits, certifications, licenses, policies and procedures.
The EHS Coordinator will assist the Corporate EHS team with preparing and coordinating inspections, responding to information requests and supporting permit modifications and renewals. The position will interface with local, state and federal environmental agency personal.
This position requires climbing metal ladders and stairs, working at high heights, working in extreme weather conditions for various amounts of time, in addition to general office work. General office work includes sitting in front of monitors for long periods of time, identifying the significance of color changes in the systems, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to hear and discern various alarms.
B.S. degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 6 years as an environmental specialist and 2 years powerplant or power-related industry experience)
Professional Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an environmental specialist and at least 1 year experience in a power plant or power-related industry required.
