DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is looking to hire a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Instrument Operator to be based out of our Moon Township, Pennsylvania office.

Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will assist the Survey Party Chief in all aspects of survey projects, including: field data collection with either conventional survey instruments or GPS, reconnaissance for H/V control or property corner evidence, field stakeout of proposed routes or future construction, and technical support as needed.

This is a great opportunity to work with survey professionals, learning survey techniques and using the latest in equipment and technology. Applicants must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Out of state travel is required, along with extended work schedules and overtime.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS


  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • 0-3 years of experience in surveying.
  • Motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn and excel.
  • Mandatory drug test and background check.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Must be able to work extended work schedules with possible overtime opportunities.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred:


  • Degree in Surveying or Survey related discipline.
  • Trimble and Leica field software and field instrument familiarity a plus.
