What You’ll be Doing


 


You will be helping test applications for the food service industry. You will work with developers and business analysts to understand how these applications are used by customers by participating in planning and requirement gatherings to learn and ask questions about the functionality of the product. Have the ability to create the multiple “what-if” scenarios by putting yourself in the customer’s shoes and apply all the scenarios to the workflow of the application.   You will also participate in conducting functional testing based on the requirements and then develop, code, implement and maintain test cases for automated regression testing for the application.  As an embedded team member of an Agile Software Development team you will take ownership in delivering quality testing for the application to be delivered to the customer.


 


You will work in a general office environment and be able to work from own initiative, learn and adapt quickly, and be highly productive with minimal supervision. Much of your daily interaction will be with Software Developers, as well as with other QA Engineers on your team.  You may occasionally be asked to travel, usually no more than 3-5 days per year.


 


What You’ll Bring to the Table


 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in business applications areas, computer science, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience in development, research, and product testing

  • General programing and scripting skills, in Selenium with Java is a strong plus

  • Experience as a member of an Agile software development team, preferably implementing Scrum

  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and ask questions

  • Proven knowledge of the software development life cycle and solid understanding of quality software

  • Have the analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under general supervision

  • Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans
