Job DescriptionLooking for a Product Manager in our electrical conduit fittings and cable gland category to become an integral part of a dynamic product marketing team. This person will be responsible for cradle to grave product management of an extensive electrical fittings offering with over 30,000 SKUs. The product manager will work to maintain a large and complex product line, developing new marketing materials, and launching new products. They will be responsible for leading research and reporting activities, management reporting, and project management responsibility for key programs. This is a highly cross-functional role where the individual will have to collaborate regularly with multiple teams, including engineering, sales, supply chain, operations, technical support, customer service and quality. We are looking for an individual who loves to learn and can manage complexity, succeeds in an environment with changing priorities and has strong critical thinking skills.
Job Responsibilities• Product knowledge and market intelligence – become an expert in Emerson’s electrical fittings product lines and our customers; be the expert on our competition and how to gain a competitive advantage over them by solving customer problems• Use this product knowledge to support sales, technical support and customer service teams• Develop a long-term strategy and product roadmaps for the category • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market• Develop high quality sales aids such as product guides, press releases and web content• Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers• Conduct competitive analysis to determine product features and pricing. Translate customer feedback and market trends into clearly defined phased releases• Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products• Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan, including go-to-market strategy and execution • Ability to communicate to leadership the product strategy and developments in the category • Perform ongoing analysis and propose necessary actions to ensure continued marketability of the product line

Basic Qualifications• 3+ years of product marketing experience• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field• Strong Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements collection skills and ability • Ability to translate VOC research and technical product capabilities into customer value proposition• Strong collaboration skills• Strong communication and presentation skills• Strong analytical ability
Preferred Qualifications• Previous product marketing experience with electrical fittings or cable gland products• Experience in the hazardous location products and certification standards• Strong collaboration skills: excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, customers and third parties• Strong project management skills Work Authorization
