The Digital Communications Specialist will lead the end-to-end communications effort for Aruba’s digital programs, both establishing the style guide and communications framework to guide marketing efforts, and creating copy for emails, landing pages, web pages, banner ads and social copy and system communications as required. He/she will be an expert writer, who understands the value and impact of great storytelling and the need to establish consistent, cohesive narrative(s). Working closely with the design and campaigns/programs team, the Digital Communications Specialist will create the necessary components required to support customer journeys, from initial customer contact through to sale. The Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a consistent tone and voice, and quality for all aspects of the customer journey – web, campaigns, repositories, community, and product.
Define an overall communications style and quality for digital pieces in support of campaigns/programs and the Aruba CX initiative
Create copy for digital user interfaces (e.g. landing pages, microsites, portal pages) in conjunction with the campaigns/programs, portfolio marketing, marketing operations, and product marketing teams.
Using existing product-focused content as a starting point, create stories that will weave disparate messages together and serve as the basis for customer-facing digital content
Work with the programs team to ensure content created aligns with user journeys that are simple, appealing, and communicate the value of our product offerings at each point in the journey
Collaborate with other functions (e.g. portfolio marketing, communications, demand center, and product management) to define the nature of, and desired outcomes from, the customer experience for primary audience categories (e.g. customers, prospects, partners, sales, investors) that will inform content creation
Initiate internal and external stakeholder sentiment studies through the Lifecycle Marketing team as required
Corporate marketing, including Campaigns/Programs, Brand and Creative, Corporate Communications, and Portfolio Marketing
Marketing operations team members, including those team members having responsibility for the Demand Center, the Aruba web presence, the Community, Lifecycle Marketing, and overall metrics and analytics
Customer Success team
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, English or Marketing
Six to 10 years in roles of increasing responsibility in communications roles, with a strong focus on copywriting
More than three years of experience in web copywriting
Ability to define and socialize communications strategies that extend across business and geographic segments
Significant experience optimizing digital copy to drive deeper engagement and positive user experiences
Agency experience a plus
Experience managing outside resources and agencies
Must have worked at a Technology Organization
Must furnish writing samples
