Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term, effective relationships with Healthcare providers, affiliated practice staff and support personnel in various customer locations towards business development. Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Manager is also responsible for the standardization and the optimization of the pharmacy services being provided by the Specialty Pharmacy Liaisons employed by the Bon Secours Mercy Health Specialty Pharmacy. Specialty Pharmacy Liaison assigned clinic practice management responsibility includes physician offices and other clinic practice locations to promote the BSMH Specialty Pharmacy services and solutions. Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Manager oversees training and management of the Specialty Pharmacy Liaisons assigned to specific specialty disease states, clinic practices or physician offices.
Essential Job Functions
Execute the Specialty Pharmacy Liaison implementation vision and strategy, including meeting organizationally-aligned performance goals, timelines and outcome measures.
Promote specialty pharmacy services to BSMH providers and affiliated practices and oversee Specialty Pharmacy Liaison implementations.
Establish periodic touch base with clinic providers and practice leaders where BSMH Specialty Pharmacy Liaisons directly working with. Obtain feedback and resolve identified issues towards improving patient care and specialty pharmacy business development.
Collaborate with provider practices and implement innovative steps towards getting patients on therapy quickly while assisting with financial barriers, PA requirements and meeting regulatory requirements.
Manage and evaluate Specialty Pharmacy Liaison assignments across the BSMH System and affiliated practices while reviewing implementation stats and relevant data periodically.
Promote professional, personal, and clinical development of Specialty Pharmacy Liaisons through board certification and working with clinical staff across BSMH.
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and IT teams to implement and further grow Specialty Pharmacy Liaison services with strategic approach.
Track and Facilitate the rapid adoption and assimilation of best practices and innovations in service, work methods, technology, and operational systems to improve pharmacy services being provided to providers, standardization, quality and productivity across assigned sites.
Preferred and Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate of Pharmacy Technician Course
Licensure/Certification Required: National Certified Pharmacy Technician – Can be obtained within 9 months of hire
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: Minimum of 3 year experience in specialty or retail pharmacy business development servicing practices that employee health care professionals
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Diverse and highly developed skill set including but not limited to: time-management, communication, creativity, vision, teamwork, leadership, clinical knowledge base/skills, mentorship, change management, and project management. Ability to build strong relationships within and outside of the pharmacy including physician office staff, payers, and patients
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a professional healthcare environment required (may include call center or in a medical office)
