We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented individual for the Employee Engagement Senior Analyst role within Cigna Civic Affairs.  The primary role of this position is to advance Cigna’s efforts to create an inspired workforce and to support our corporate responsibility focus on improving the health of people, communities and the environment. This position is responsible for all employee volunteerism policies, programs and related performance.  This position will report directly to the Operations Manager for the Cigna Foundation and Civic Affairs with the goal of producing measurable results to increase employee engagement and support Cigna's community impact vision and growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service and be able to clearly articulate Cigna's mission and how fulfilling our social purpose assists in achieving Cigna’s commercial purpose.


  • Manage all employee volunteerism programs and activities designed to engage Cigna employees in meaningful community service activities

  • Works with Operations Manager and Cigna Foundation, Civic Affairs and Corporate Responsibility Director to set strategy, policies and process for Employee Engagement program

  • Analyze program feedback (qualitative and quantitative), and make recommendations for improvements based on data

  • Responsible for Employee Engagement budget in coordination with Operations Manager

  • Manages and all processes related to recording of employee paid volunteer time through Cigna's time management system

  • Manages all community related employee benefits and grants (e.g. Matching Gifts, Healthy Lifestyle Grants, Community Service Champion/Volunteer of the Year grants to non-profits) funded by the Cigna Foundation through the CyberGrants software portal

  • Responds to all internal and external employee volunteerism program related inquiries

  • Build capacity for employees to self-lead in volunteerism by providing insights and tools which can be scaled to use globally

  • Assists with details and logistics for community and cause marketing special events

  • Serve as liaison with Human Resources on Community Ambassador Fellowship program and other aspects of joint goals related to creating an inspired workforce through community service.

  • Communicate internally and externally on the value of Cigna's employee volunteerism programs to a variety of stakeholders.


  • General knowledge of Corporate Responsibility trends and best-practices with a particular focus on volunteer program management and matching gifts/grants technology

  • Excellent project management and communications skills

  • Results oriented and experienced with performance measurement

  • Collaborative and able to energize others to drive success

  • Business focus - understanding of company's mission, vision and strategy to achieve long and short term goals

  • Strategic and analytical orientation with the ability to drive operational excellence and strong business performance

  • Flexibility to work evening or weekend events as needed; some travel required

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree in other relevant fields preferred.
