The Finance Manager, Revenue Management will be responsible for providing general pricing direction and analyzing product performance for Super Regional Accounts, high impact strategic regional customers for Dean Foods. The position will be directly responsible for oversight and analytical support of monthly pricing/key account review process; specifically, own (with 2 Super Regional Sales VPs) pricing/promotion execution/exception reviews as directed by Corporate office; work with the Corporate Revenue Management team to support the corporate/ Key Account review process and support ad-hoc analyses as needed.

Job Responsibilities :
  • Continuously drive improving account profitability via the levers of pricing (introductory vs. every day) and promotion
  • Serve as the central resource for implementing pricing strategy, trade analysis, and price reporting across the Commercial/Sales team
  • Conduct price modeling, focusing on price elasticity and price gap management, using tools and approaches formulated by Corporate Revenue Management team
  • Implement the appropriate price/brand ladder positioning for the accounts taking into consideration local market dynamics, identifying opportunities to grow volume and/or profit
  • Support trade reviews via use of DF trade management tools (current and future) to provide pricing guidance as well as post event analysis and recommendations
  • Perform competitive analyses to benchmark Dean Foods' product portfolio vs. key competitors
  • Assist with building key performance indicators for pricing and trade; identify outliers, research drivers and use analytics to challenge key stakeholders to course correct when necessary
  • Create clear and consistent price impact reporting to Commercial Leadership and Field teams
  • Lead a variety of ad-hoc analyses and projects to support Customer and/or Corporate objectives within the Commercial organization as needed
  • Perform variance analysis versus forecast, prior year, and plan; identify problem areas and make recommendations for improvement

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, an MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years' finance experience, ideally with exposure to a CPG/Retail environment
  • 3+ years knowledge of pricing and price promotion dynamics, preferably in a CPG, multi-tier pricing environment, and the ability to understand the long-term impact of pricing decisions
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills that have been used to create complex models and reports
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with others, to effectively deliver results
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, passion for learning and willingness to build new skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to present complex issues in a simple way
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects with a results orientation
  • Ability to prioritize and remain flexible while managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience interpreting syndicated volume and pricing data (i.e., IRI or ACNielsen) and use of statistical tools such as SAS, Minitab, or similar database analytics is a plus
