The Vice President, Human Resources – Wine & Spirits Operations is responsible for providing expert counsel on all HR issues to the Wine and Spirits Operations Leadership Team (“OLT”). Serves as a member of the Chief Human Resources Officer Extended Leadership Team (“Extended HRLT”). Responsible for aligning company and HR initiatives across Global Operations. Provides leadership, strategic direction, and communication on division-wide initiatives to the OLT and Global Operations HR team.
Support the business’s goals through ensuring that the HR function meets the needs of the Wine & Spirits Global Operations team
Partner with members of the HR Leadership Team / Centers of Excellence on the development and implementation of programs in recruitment, retention, succession, and development to ensure the talent needs of the Operations team are met. Align criteria for high performance and succession with organizational goals and strategy to ensure that development, training, and performance management support these criteria.
Partner with other members of the HR Leadership Team / Centers of Excellence on benefits and compensation programs to ensure they meet the specific needs of Operations and Global employees
Identify opportunities to effectively implement change management and continuous improvement as tools to enhance business results
Remain informed on HR trends that could impact the business and form strategies to respond proactively to these trends
Maintain strong relationships across Operations by managing an HR team that goes beyond supplying traditional functions to make the business more efficient and effective. Provide leadership to the Global Operations HR team and evaluate team structure and design to meet the needs of the business and provide professional and personal growth for team members.
Partner with members of the HR and Operations teams on strategic communications that ensure that the company has timely, effective messages delivered to internal and external audiences
Plan and manage the annual budget and other financial measures of the Operations HR Department. Establish, measure and report out on key HR metrics.
Ensure productive and positive employee and labor relations through human resource policies and procedures. Advise Operations leadership on employee relations issues and partner with leaders to foster a values-based leadership culture. Provide strategic direction in preparation for negotiations where applicable as a key member of the company negotiation team.
B.A. or B.S. from accredited college, M.B.A. in Human Resources preferred
At least 10 years’ experience in HR management with progressively greater responsibility; minimum 5 years of people management experience; CPG industry preferred
Experience in a range of human resources areas including recruiting, mergers and acquisitions, retention, employee relations, total rewards, change management, compliance, labor relations, talent management, and talent acquisition
Proven ability to use initiative to introduce new programs while also ensuring that the HR function helps the company achieve overall goals
Experience operating efficiently as a senior leader of HR and using the HR function to drive results for the company in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well with different types of teams as a leader and a collaborator
Ability to develop and manage own team
Experience working with the executive team of a major company
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly
Must be at least 21 years of age
