Job Summary:

 Cognizant Technology Solutions SFDC Business unit is looking for candidates for the position of a Salesforce Technical Release Manager.


 
Responsibilities:

Manage release schedules and milestones.

Collaborate and manage release processes across all functions within IT and with business stakeholders

Manage change control processes for the releases.

Continuously improve release processes.

Implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.

Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles to release

Guide the completion of root cause analysis to ensure issues do not recur.

Perform environment planning, provisioning, and management required to support the releases

Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release

Communicate plans and status, and escalate issues as required

Lead and mentor in the continuous improvement and documentation of all build and release processes/procedures.


 
 
 
Skills & Experience Required:

5+ years of IT Release Management experience in software release management.

Experience working in an agile software development environment and a familiarity with SCRUM practices

Added advantage: Scripting languages – (Perl, Python, Ant etc.,)

Extensive experience with one or more source code repositories such as CVS, Subversion, AutoRabit, Flosum etc.

Extensive experience with custom objects

Strong understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, sites and force.com platform functionality

Expertise with Custom Objects, Apex, SOQL, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery

Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Force.com IDE, Migration Tool

Excellent oral & written communication skills
