Business Overview: The mission of the Investment Business Analysis and Data Integrity group is to act as a bridge between the business and technology communities. Services provided include business and process re-engineering, requirements gathering and documentation, all types of quality assurance testing (i.e., unit, regression, integration, screen testing, user acceptance testing, dual/parallel) and customer support. New interns are generally trained via testing assignments.

The Program

The 10-week internship experience will provide you with valuable experiences during the summer. Within PGIM Operations Business Analysis groups, interns can be placed into three areas of support:


  • Investment Accounting Operations – PAM Domestic

  • International Investment Accounting Operations - PAM International

  • Money Market Investment Accounting Operations – MMIP

As a summer intern, you will primarily be involved in the testing phase of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which includes modifications related to systems/interfaces/ applications/reports/programs that are part of the overall investment accounting infrastructure.


 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Assisting Business Analysts in the preparation of test plans to validate that system functionality satisfies associated business requirements

  • Assisting in development of test cases matrices, the creation of actual test cases, the execution of the test, and the review of actual vs. expected results

  • Gathering test documentation (in spreadsheets, databases, test write-ups, and paper test case files). Testing often involves the use of various test tools to prepare test cases, compare data, and document results

  • Interacting with the other business analysts and the software developers in the group.

  • Setting up and running batch job streams for testing
