RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Project Executive, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Ensure and oversee successful implementation of planning, design and construction for major public works construction projects

  • Lead integrated project management teams comprised of external and internal forces.

  • Direct and manage project controls with regard to cost, schedule, scope, quality, safety, integrity and other issues to ensure that the project is progressing efficiently, effectively and within budget; determine and implement corrective actions as appropriate.

  • Oversee the preparation of key performance indicator reports to track progress and identify issues.

  • Oversee and support the negotiation and implementation of construction and construction management contracts and change orders.

  • Prepare and conduct presentations for Agency executives, elected officials and community groups.

  • Participate in development and management of relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful projects.

KEY ATTRIBUTES:
  • Demonstrable track record managing successful delivery of capital projects on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law or related field

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management including commercial management, project controls and change.

  • Experience delivering major projects with at least one completed project with a construction value in excess of $1 billion.

  • Experience with project controls means and methods is required.

  • Extensive experience, preferably as an owner, managing major capital programs for a transportation agency or similar

  • Experience in multibillion-dollar tunnel construction projects preferably within the New York metropolitan area.

  • Knowledge of and experience with New York metropolitan area construction industry.


Preferred Qualifications

  • NY PE license preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate large project teams
