As a Construction Inspector, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • If successful growing our presence with ConnDOT, may supervise other inspectors.

  • Gaining fundamental understanding of the contract drawings, specifications, RFIs, PCOs, testing procedures, etc.

  • Managing material testing with high-level understanding of procedures and implications of the test results.

  • Assisting the Resident Engineer or Construction Manager with contract administration activities

  • Preparation of inspectors' daily reports and other project related reports, as-builts etc.

  • Utilizing standardized testing procedures, inspection protocols, construction techniques and performance of QA on behalf of Clients and Owners


  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in concert with contractors, consultants, and clients

  • Ability to keep client satisfaction a top priority

  • E-Builder, BIM, and Power BI experience is a significant advantage

  • Willingness to grow, learn, lead, and develop/expand Arcadis' business.

Required Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant inspection experience

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
