Job Description:

Are you interested in a medical affairs role that leverages your project management expertise to accelerate global medical affairs engagement?  If so, this Global Medical Affairs Manager – Oncology could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As an Office Based Medical Affairs Manager, you will work closely with the Strategic Program Directors in Global Medical Affairs Oncology to support the maintenance of the strategic medical plans and provide logistical support for the Global Medical Affairs Team.   You will be responsible for managing medical advisory boards, managing budgets, meeting logistics, and helping to build and maintain technology platforms.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Managing logistics for cross-functional teams under the supervision of the Strategic Program Director, including the Global Medical Affairs Team

  • Developing meeting agendas, slide decks, spreadsheets, and taking meeting minutes

  • Tracking and reporting progress of key program tactics and key performance indicators, including input from regional affiliates 

  • Managing program budget, including creation and review of statements of work and purchase orders; working with finance to report accruals

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the program global medical plan and helping ensure regional plans have information they need from global for regional plans

  • Logistical support of medical advisory boards and related activities

  • Overseeing Healthcare Professional (HCP) contracting related to medical outreach activities

  • Systems oversight, including SharePoint libraries, HCP insights gathering, and external expert databases

  • Coordination of medical congress activity for assigned programs

  • Help coordinate medical sponsorship activity for disease area franchises

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 2 years prior experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical R&D with some oncology experience OR advanced degree (e.g. RN, PharmD, or PhD) if this is the applicant’s first job out of school

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master’s, RN, PharmD or PhD In Science

  • PMP certification

  • Oncology experience

  • Excellent understanding of medical functions and medical affairs activities

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to develop relationships based upon trust and mutual respect
