Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. We are actively seeking Total Joint Finishing Technicians for both shifts at our manufacturing location in Ave Maria, FL. The Total Joint Finishing Tech will tumble, clean, media blast and deburr products following Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. processes and procedures to ensure superior quality is provided to our clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Performs work to ensure products meet regulatory requirements including, but not limited to FDA and ISO.

  • Utilizes special fixtures and gauges to ensure surface and dimensional retention.

  • Verifies accuracy, revision level and validity of paperwork, documentation and inspection tools prior to starting a job.

  • Inspects parts to drawings ensuring tolerances and cosmetic finish requirements are maintained using appropriate inspection tools and following approved inspection criteria.

  • Consistently achieves quality objectives.

  • Completes documentation of operations and quantities completed.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S and other methods.

  • Participates in continuous improvement activities including procedure, process, quality, and productivity improvements.

  • Learns and applies concepts of lean manufacturing as applied in assigned area.

  • Adheres to and is compliant with all safety procedures and practices.

  • Timely reports any safety concerns or violations to management.

  • Engages in cross training activities to develop proficiencies.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 year directly related training and/or experience in a manufacturing environment.
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Full working knowledge of mechanical equipment.  Good eye/hand dexterity.  Ability to be detail oriented.  Ability to Deburr, tumble, sandblast, and finish metals
 
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Manual dexterity.
 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
 
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 
 
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
