SUMMARY

Position is ultimately responsible for all aspects of network security and network design in a manufacturing environment. (Asset inventory, firewall configuration, network monitoring and policy creation)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Maintain firewalls

* Maintain the OT (Operational Technology)asset list

* Review network and asset monitoring information and reports

* Maintain network documentation drawings in coordination with DCS engineers

* Maintenance of network communication hardware

* Establish/maintain/support anti-virus installation and virus definition updates

* Support virus scans and documentation

* Establish/maintain/support Microsoft patches and updates

* Respond to network security incidents

* Establish and maintain a site wide OT domain for all networked systems not part of a DCS domain

* Establish and maintain an intrusion detection system

* Seek and recommend improvements to OT network security

* Write and modify policies and procedures documenting security initiatives and improvements

* Establish/renew service contracts for network security services and hardware

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

* Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.

* Promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental issues or incidents to management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

* B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred.

* Five years experience with networking and network security.

* A valid, or ability to acquire a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

* Security/Microsoft certifications or Manufacturing/Process Automation experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use

hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Inside exposure includes but not limited to A/C 95% of the time. Outside exposure includes but not limited to weather, fumes, and dust 5% of the time. May be exposed to slippery, rocky, uneven surface of floor/ground.
