Job Description:

Seeking a highly skilled and technical BIM Coordinator to work on our BIM Team! This position will offer support to all BSA offices. There will not be a design component as part of this role but if you like using your strong technical skills to fix things and help people there will be an opportunity to make a great impact in our firm.

Position Purpose/Summary

The purpose of this position is to support firm wide corporate BIM initiatives and provide project level BIM management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of Revit families and details for the architectural, engineering, interior, and civil/structural disciplines.

  • Maintain and develop Revit Family Library according to the BSA LifeStructures standards.

  • Maintain and develop documentation and follow through on technical processes for design technology implementation and Revit standards across all disciplines.

  • Assist with the development of an internal continued design technology training.

  • Ensure that all design related technology software and hardware are functioning properly and efficiently at all times and collaborate with the IT department for updating and deploying solutions.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with corporate BIM team.

  • Constantly assesses and, when applicable, suggests improvements for processes.

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including plotters, other output, and digital applications.

  2. Leadership: Able to evaluate software use applications and assist teams in determining the most efficient way of utilizing available tools to complete a project.

  4. High accuracy and attention to detail: Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; realizes errors can have significant impact on desired results and is able to avoid errors in almost all circumstances; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details and organizes and maintains a system of records.

  5. Software skills required:

    1. Proficient with: Microsoft Windows environment; Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Autodesk AEC Building Suite (Primary Revit Platforms),

    2. Knowledge of: MS Access, and Power BI; Revit API, Dynamo, Clarity, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Google suite, Python and Lumion

Work requires substantial judgment and original thinking and creativity; Develops innovative approaches and ideas and must be able to present ideas and information in a manner to get others’ attention.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will observe and advise other positions as needed

Working Environment and Conditions


The incumbent spends approximately 90% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts within the organization.  He/she will also spend approximately 10% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts outside of the organization.


Working Conditions

This position occupies a general office environment.  Occasional exposure to weather elements is likely.  Incumbents are likely to drive a vehicle in the course of performing their job responsibilities.  Incumbents spend approximately 40% sitting, 30% standing, and 30% walking in the course of performing their job responsibilities and are unlikely to handle materials weighing more than 30 pounds without mechanical assistance.  Incumbents will use the following office equipment in the course of performing their duties: phone, computer, copier.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
