Mission: The Category Manager is responsible for leading the category management process at one of Michelin's largest customers. This role leverages strategic thinking, analytics and category management principles to develop and execute category strategies that drive category and market share growth.
Partner with the customer to implement a repeatable category management process
Provide thought leadership on business decisions by analyzing data, trends, category performance, competitive threats and opportunities
Develop and deliver fact based and objective category reviews, assortment analyses, new item tracking and opportunity analyses
Synthesize multi-source data and information to identify solutions to customer, category and shopper opportunities
Utilize analytic and critical thinking skills to answer the "Why" and "What Now" behind the "What" regarding business performance
Act as trusted insights advisor to internal partners including Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain in the development and activation of initiatives
Enhance Michelin's category management influence with customers through regular engagement with their category management team
Support the development of Category Management as a function at Michelin; developing and championing new ways of working, thinking and processes
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, MBA a plus
Minimum 5 years of category management experience in a customer facing role
Strong analytic, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen)
Consumer packaged goods industry experience a plus
