Job Description:

If you are interested in a Director level role where you will shape the HR support and business strategy of a critical Consumer Healthcare organization, we have a great opportunity for you at GSK!

In this HR Business Leader (HRBL) role you will act as an integral member of a senior leadership team (US Leadership team) that will diagnose and deploy appropriate HR interventions, required to deliver the business strategy, further improve business performance as well as to develop the organization.   The US GSK Consumer Health Business will be a $4 billion business consisting of leading brands in Oral Health, Pain Relief, Cough Cold, Allergy, Vitamin and Digestive Health categories. 

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.  These responsibilities include some of the following:

HR Business Strategy & Partnering

  • Shape the HR and support business strategy through an understanding of the business, its drivers, concerns & requirements, and providing insight into the people impacts

  • Define, develop and deliver the HR Strategy/HR agenda based on organizational needs, business challenges & key metrics

  • Adapt HR initiatives based on customer insight and “fit”

Succession Planning and Talent Management & Capability Building

  • Strategic Workforce planning – ensure proactive and future-oriented planning on size, structure and capabilities of the organization

  • Highlight future capability gaps and facilitate solutions, utilizing HR expertise

  • Understanding talent needs of the business and identifying talent issues before they hit the business

  • Apply strategic reward as well as EVP solutions to attract and retain critical talent

Change Management

  • Drive change management initiatives across functions and countries within the area to support business strategy

  • Leadership Development and Executive Coaching

  • Provide ongoing coaching on leadership style to senior leaders

  • Develop Leadership capabilities to ensure current and future business needs are met

  • Ensure senior leaders can deliver on their people management responsibilities

Organizational Design and Development

  • Identify/drive improvements in organizational efficiency & effectiveness, and challenge conventional business thinking

  • Support leaders in defining and executing people plans and driving a transformational people agenda

Cultural Development

  • Develop a people & culture agenda which underpins and supports the delivery of the business goals and drives employee engagement

  • Work through line managers to manage the climate and engagement within the business.

Compensation and Benefits

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Significant supervisory and project management experience

  • Significant HR leader experience

  • Travel Required: Yes – 10-20% (Domestic & International)

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master or advanced degree

  • Advocate of HR strategy, policies and processes

  • Proven track record to build, align and execute a sustainable HR agenda that fuels business performance and organizational development – including building teams, driving talent and building capabilities for customers

  • HR functional knowledge, including Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & OD
