The Software Quality Engineer will be based in San Jose, CA and be responsible for maintaining quality engineering programs, standards and improvements within the organization

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for software testing.

  • Writes design control documentation including software design development and quality plans.

  • Prepares and leads Design Review Meetings for customer projects.

  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for prioritization of software anomalies and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

  • Directs workers engaged in testing software including development of test cases and plans.

  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.

  • Acts as Quality Representative for customer projects which may include interaction with customers on quality related issues.

  • Reviews and approves design control documentation including plans, software requirements, verification protocols, test cases, trace matrix, and test records.

  • Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.

  • Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.

  • Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.

  • Manages product complaints for customer products and recommends corrective action.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field

  • Experience in the Medical Device industry

  • Cloud related software quality experience

  • Experience working QMS processes and procedures
