We are actively seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in our Sutures department to join our expanding engineering team. Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong textiles manufacturing and design background along with a Bachelor’s degree will be necessary for this position. Responsible for supporting Engineering Manager with all support for the life cycle development of Class I, II and III medical devices, including new product development and maintenance of released products. This includes design, develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to produce cost effective quality medical device products and systems. Provide manufacturing engineering expertise to create, document and implement required procedures and documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics required.
7+ years of manufacturing process improvement experience required.
Textile Engineering or Textile Sciences background preferred.
Experience with fabric design & manufacturing preferred.
Experience with medical textiles manufacturing preferred.
Proven experience in leading process improvement projects required.
Medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in work flow optimization, work measurement, efficiencies required.
Recognized process improvement training (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Ability to work independently and effectively with cross functional teams.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
SPC (Statistical Process Control) knowledge.
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Experienced user of MS Office Suite.
Experience with planning and conducting tests to validate equipment and processes.
Experience in completing technical documentation for engineering and manufacturing.
Familiarity with clean room practices preferred.
Project management skills preferred.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Twisting, winding, braiding weaving, dyeing, knitting, embroidery and laser cutting equipment experience desired.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
