Process Engineer (Molding) at EG Industries in New Madison, Ohio

Job Description:

Responsible for all molding processes, mold machines, tools, maintenance and repair, and new tool set-up. 


May include, but not limited to the following:

  • Makes sure all molding people, processes are safe and free of injuries

  • Establishes molding process to ensure the production of quality parts

  • Maintains/updates master process sheets for molding parameters

  • Continuously improves processes to increase effectiveness and reduce scrap.

  • Drives all tooling PM’s to maintain 100% compliance

  • Acts as tooling leader for all new programs for the facility.  Teams with necessary personnel to initiate and implement new process.

  • Works with program management and tool shops to create tools that meet NMO tooling standards and design standards

  • Work to install cost reductions in the molding area such as cycletime reductions, material savings, labor efficiencies, change over reductions

  • Supervisor for tool room personnel

  • Responsible for tool room schedules/vacations and daily time and attendance tracking

  • Responsible for proper supplies and materials for tool room repair

  • Assists in supervising mold techs with the production front line leaders

  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow and relocating work stations and equipment.

  • Confers with management and other engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

  • Investigates new technology

  • Specify and purchase new equipment

  • Direct interface with 3rd party vendors for molding related work

  • Training of molding technical personnel

  • Other duties as assigned

College degree or equivalent experience is required along with two years of injection molding experience.
