Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Sourcing Operations Clerk will support the HIS Sourcing Organization by procuring goods and services essential to 3M HIS.  Fast paced and urgent at times, but always exciting.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide superior and timely service to 3M employees and vendors.

  • Process Requisitions for Purchase Orders and enter Non-PO Vouchers

  • Ensure that payments processed adhere to the policies and procedures of 3M

  • Resolve billing discrepancies with vendors quickly and accurately

  • Facilitate the entry of signed contracts and renewal of existing contracts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess an Associate’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution or a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and three (3) years of sourcing experience in lieu of the Associate's Degree requirement

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Office Suite experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to work with a team or alone to solve problems

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills to be used in working with management, vendors, and 3M personnel 

  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow and improve processes

  • Previous Sourcing/Purchasing experience is a plus

  • Previous PeopleSoft application experience is a plus

  • The ability to quickly learn department processes, policies, and applicable PeopleSoft modules

Location: Murray, UT

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
