IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm operating in over 110 countries worldwide. Our Human Capital research practice is expanding and we are seeking an experienced, motivated, intellectually curious, and entrepreneurially oriented individual to join our team.
The Research Manager will spearhead research into the employee experience technology and services market with concentration on employee engagement, benefits, and wellness.
The Research Manager will also work collaboratively to grow the new research practice focused on Benefits, Wellness, and Employee Engagement.
The Research Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of a compelling research agenda that offers both quantitative and qualitative components.
The Research Manager will be seen as a subject matter expert both within and external to IDC and will be tapped for consulting engagements in addition to published research.
The Research Manager will provide support for consulting engagements across the Human Capital research practice.
Knowledge of the human capital market with expertise in employee engagement, benefits/wellness, and employee rewards and recognition technologies and services.
Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal form. A strong comfort level with and enjoyment of writing is an essential requirement of this position. Additionally, this position will deliver presentations at client events, conferences and in smaller meetings.
An analytical mind with a strong desire to uncover trends and patterns through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research.
The candidate must also be comfortable using Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) to perform modeling and forecasting.
A Bachelor's degree is required
5 years+ of pertinent HCM industry experience is desired
Experience and background in the human capital management market is strongly preferred and specific experience working in or covering the employee engagement, benefits/wellness, and/or employee rewards and recognition domains will be highly valued
Excellent written and verbal communications, and strong quantitative skills
Demonstrable track record and passion for superior client service as direct client interaction is an important part of the role
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and decisive
This position involves some travel for industry events and customer projects
