Postdoctoral Research Associate: Dr. Lauren Emberson is seeking a postdoctoral or more senior researcher to join her lab in the Department of Psychology at Princeton University to start in the fall of 2019. This McDonnell and Gates Foundation-supported lab studies learning and prediction early in life and how these processes support perceptual development. Research in the lab employs a combination of behavioral (looking time, eye tracking) and neuroimaging methods (fNIRS, fMRI) with young infants and children to uncover how the developing brain translates experience into developmental change through learning. This appointment is for one year and can be renewed pending satisfactory performance and sufficient funding. This position is subject to the University's background check policy. Preferred Qualifications: Researchers with interests in early perception and/or learning/memory are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have research experience with developmental populations and/or neuroimaging (ideally with developmental populations but adults ok). Researchers with experience in fNIRS/fMRI and eye tracking are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of relevant statistical software & programming tools (e.g. MATLAB, R). Essential Qualifications: PhD. in related field (Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science) and evidence of publication-quality dissertation research required.
