Central Sterile Technician is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembling, sterilization and storage of instrumentation according to prescribed procedure and technique. Employee works in collaboration with the OR staff to ensure supplies and instrumentation is available to the customers. Knowledge of instrumentation sterilization processes is essential.
* High School or equivalent preferred
* Sterilization and instrumentation experience preferred
* Sterile Processing Certification preferred
* Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
* Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pound
