TMA I (Analyst III, Drawback) Ops at UPS

Job Description:

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Trade Management Analyst (TMA) I to impact the business by mastering drawback regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Customs Broker License or be currently pursuing a license from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This position offers on the job training in the areas of Drawback, Conflict Minerals and various customer specific compliance projects.

The TMA I is responsible for coordinating and carrying out all tasks necessary to develop, maintain and maximize established drawback programs and develop new drawback programs. He/She fills drawback claims with CBP and responds to CBP requests for assigned drawback programs. The TMA assists in employee training regarding accounts and projects. He/She is responsible for providing insight, guidance and other supportive services necessary for the Drawback Team. In addition, the TMA I contacts suppliers and conducts additional follow up as needed to respond within the specified goal to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Helps anticipate clients’ needs to prepare for client engagements
  • Assists with developing operational quality goals and standards to meet specifications
  • Assists with tracking and trending audit findings to take corrective and preventive actions and to maintain proof of audit and supporting documentation
  • Assists with root cause analyses to develop corrective action plans

  • Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, if necessary)
  • Strong knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection Regulations
  • Must be available to travel when necessary for audits, document retrieval and client meetings
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
  • Customs Broker License - Preferred
  • International Trade, Logistics or Freight Forwarding experience - Preferred
  • Minimum of three years of general office experience - Preferred
