IDC's Latin Research and Consulting team is seeking to drive consulting projects in line with IDC's Custom Solutions marketing strategy, project management/oversight and IDCs research frameworks and methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting business development activities to achieve consulting sales and execute of a wide variety of large consulting projects (Latin America or global scale) with guidance, delivering on the final project specifications.
In addition, the Consulting Manager will have the opportunity to learn and engage across a wide variety of custom solutions practices, including custom analytics, buyer behavior, thought leadership and integrated marketing campaigns. S/he will create, manage, implement, and innovate with IDCs Consulting Practices within the top B2B and B2C players in the information and communication technologies industry.
The successful Consulting Manager is required to plan and execute compelling marketing consulting proposals, deliver quality projects, provide high levels of customer interaction, and execute consulting research deliverables. The individual is responsible for ensuring that the consulting engagements are delivered on time, cost effectively, and with a high degree of quality & insight.
In addition, Consulting Manager will facilitate on-time, high quality deliverables and customer experiences with the aim to grow the business over time.
We are seeking someone who is collaborative, decisive and entrepreneurial who will partner with IDC's centers of excellence (Buyer Behavior, Custom Analytics, etc.), IDC analysts, sales, and others as appropriate to yield the highest value for our customers.
The role will entail active management of day to day communications and engagement milestones with both external clients and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will:
Operate with a client-centric orientation to maximize IDC value in terms of quality, timeliness, and experience.
Uncover consulting opportunities through day-to-day engagement with customers, understanding their strategies and needs.
Oversee quality assurance in every stage of the engagement (proposals to delivery).
Analyze quantitative datasets &/or survey data with an ability to develop a data-driven story. Have a strong proficiency in survey design.
Manage budgets and accounting related to engagements [drive revenue and renewals.
Bring experience in delivering in a fast-paced consulting sales and business development environment.
Possess a demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end qualitative, quantitative and data analytics market research initiatives.
Bachelor's degree, in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science, others related applicable field
5-7 years of industry/sector experience (Market Research Manager, Product Manager, Marketing Consulting, or related areas)
Proven market research & consulting analysis experience.
Intermediate or advanced level of statistical methods.
Project Management certification a plus
Strong tech orientation and IT literacy
Experience and high proficiency using multiple analytic and database tools common within a marketing organization as well as social selling tools
Advanced Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel; Access, PPT, Project)
Marketing consultant and subject matter expertise, able to develop relationships to become a trusted advisor to client business executives and account teams.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with highly proficient writing and presentation skills (Portuguese also desired)
The role is based in IDC's Miami, FL office with some travel to the region required.
